Custard Casein Protein

Custard Casein Protein

The bestseller. Dessert, but it counts.

A slow-digesting casein that whips into a thick, spoonable custard with just water or milk. It keeps you fuller for longer, which makes it the go-to protein snack and the perfect last thing before bed. Warm it, freeze it, or eat it straight.

Whey Protein Isolate

Whey Protein Isolate

The cult classic shake.

Fast-absorbing, easy-digesting and low in lactose. This is the everyday workhorse: shake it after a session, blend it into smoothies, stir it through oats or bake with it. If you only own one tub, make it this one.

Protein Water

Protein Water

Protein that drinks like juice.

A light, clear alternative to the milky shake, with collagen and electrolytes alongside the protein. Perfect when it's hot, when you're between meals, or when the thought of another creamy shake doesn't appeal.

Timing it right

There's no wrong time to hit your protein target. But if you want to be precise, this is how the range maps to a day.

A day of protein

MorningWhey in a smoothie or through your oats to break the overnight fast.
Post-sessionWhey shake within the hour. Fast absorption when your muscles want it most.
AfternoonProtein Water over ice when you want something light between meals.
Before bedCustard. Slow-digesting casein feeds your muscles while you sleep.

The short science

What does protein powder actually do?

Protein provides the amino acids your body uses to build and repair muscle after training. A powder is simply a convenient, consistent way to hit your daily target when whole-food meals don't cover it.

Whey vs casein: what's the real difference?

Speed. Whey absorbs quickly, which suits post-training and daytime use. Casein digests slowly and keeps you fuller for longer, which is why Custard works so well as a snack or before bed. Most people do best with both in the cupboard.

How much protein do I need a day?

A common range for active people is roughly 1.6 to 2.2 grams per kilo of body weight per day. Spread it across meals, and use shakes to fill the gaps rather than replace real food.

Can I cook with these?

Yes. Whey works in baking, pancakes and mug cakes. Custard can be warmed like a real dessert or frozen into an ice-cream texture. Protein Water is best kept as a cold drink.

Protein is just the start

The full Muscle Nation range covers your whole day, from the first scoop of oats to winding down at night. No shaker required for half of it.
