What length should I choose in bike shorts?
Start with what bothers you most during training. If your thighs rub or you want more coverage, go for a longer leg. If you like less fabric and a lighter feel, a shorter cut may suit you better. Lots of people keep two pairs of women's bike shorts for different workouts.

Are pockets worth it on gym shorts?
They are if you hate carrying your phone in your hand or digging through your gym bag between sets. Side or back pockets are handy for your phone, card, or keys, especially on walking days. Just check pocket placement so it doesn't press into your hip during floor work.

Should I go for a smooth fit or a scrunch style?
That comes down to the shape you like most. Smoother shorts give you a more understated finish, while scrunch details draw more attention to the glutes. Some women's bike shorts also use contour seams or mesh panels, so you can choose between a simpler look and something a bit bolder.

What tops work best with bike shorts?
Think about where you're wearing the outfit, not just the workout. Fitted tops and sports bras create a more put-together gym look, while oversized tees, tanks, and pullovers tone it down. If your shorts have bold colour or extra detail, a simpler layer up top usually balances things out.
