From the $61,000 of funds raised in our Australian Bushfire Appeal, we made donations to the following organisations:

NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue & Education Service

WIRES is Australia's largest wildlife rescue organisation. Dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of Australia's wildlife, our donation will support WIRES in their mission of saving the lives of animals in need.

NSW RFS is the world's largest volunteer fire service and the lead combat agency for bushfires in New South Wales. Our donation will help support the NSW RFS in the development of regulations in bushfire prone areas, and aid in reducing bushfire hazards and ignitions.

Donation $20,000

The FRRR is dedicated to supporting the economic and social strength of Australia's rural, regional and remote communities. Our donation will help the FRRR in this mission of creating vibrant, sustainable and adaptive communities across rural, regional and remote Australia.

On January 9, 2020 we reached out to our loyal community to help us achieve a starting donation goal of $20,000. We pledged for every tag and comment on our Instagram post we would donate $1 to charity, and $5 for every share of the photograph. With a large social media platform, we acknowledge this was an opportunity for us to raise awareness of the devastating events happening around Australia, as well as help us reach our donation goal of $20,000. The overwhelming response allowed us to reach our $20,000 benchmark within 24 hours.

“Being a community driven company it was so important for us to do everything we could to help those in need and do our part to give back,” said Nathaniel Anthony, CEO & Co Owner.

On January 11, 2020 Muscle Nation team member Chris Stamatiou and friend Arnold Joseph travelled to Nymboida, a small rural village in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, to help farmers rebuild damaged fences.

“You truly can’t comprehend it, until you experience it in person," said Chris Stamatiou.

Driving to local drop off points, the duo donated over $1,000 worth of food and supplies to assist those families and farmers in affected areas.

For Australia Day, we launched 900 Men’s and Women’s Bushfire Appeal T-Shirts on our website on January 20, 2020 with full proceeds - not just the profit, but the full amount -  being donated to the cause. All shirts sold out within 48 hours of their release online, raising $40,000 for the appeal. This included nearly $5,000 worth of website donations at the time.
